Apostoli Novi (Teen Leadership Team)
What is Apostoli Novi?
“Apostoli Novi” means “New Apostles” in Latin. Twelve of our parish youth have been nominated by parishioners and subsequently selected by the Youth Minister and clergy to be “New Apostles” who advocate for the youth in the parish, advise the Youth Minister regarding the youth ministry mission, and act as a leaven among the young people of our parish, inviting them to know Christ better and be more active members of the parish family. Since “apostle” means “one who is sent out”, these twelve young people are “sent out” to the other youth of the parish as leaders and evangelizers.
Who are the members of Apostoli Novi?
The current 2010-2011 membership of Apostoli Novi includes a cross-section of our high school youth, representing every grade level and each of the area high schools that make up our parish family.

The Apostoli Novi Prayer
Lord our God, we have been called to be servants and leaders of our brothers and sisters in the tradition of the Apostles. We call upon their help and prayers to make us courageous witnesses to the faith in all that we say and do. May their faithful example and dedication to the Gospel inspire us to proclaim Jesus Christ in season and out of season without counting the cost. Give us the grace we need to call others to follow Christ and to carry them to Him when they are in need. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
